ISR Performance Aluminum Subframe Bushing Inserts -350Z & G35 Coupe

The ISR Performance Aluminum Subframe Bushing Inserts are solid anodized aluminum replacements for the factory rubber rear subframe bushings on the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 Coupe. Replacing the worn factory rubber with solid aluminum eliminates subframe deflection under load, transferring more of the suspension's energy into the dampers where it belongs instead of being absorbed by flexing bushings.

What It Does

Worn or even healthy factory rubber subframe bushings are one of the most overlooked weak points in the Z33 and V35 chassis. Under hard cornering, hard launches, or anytime the rear is loaded up, the entire subframe shifts on its rubber mounts before the dampers can do their job. That movement absorbs energy that should be going to suspension travel, and the result is a vague, soft-feeling rear end that doesn't reward driver input. Solid aluminum bushings lock the subframe to the chassis and put that energy back into the suspension, giving you a noticeably more responsive and connected feel through the steering wheel and seat.

Trade-off

This is an upgrade you feel. The trade-off is added noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) compared to factory rubber. Most drivers running coilovers and aftermarket suspension on a Z or G consider the response improvement worth the NVH, but it's something to be aware of on a daily driver.

Installation Note

Removing the factory rubber bushings and installing these solid replacements is not a quick driveway job. Plan on either a press, a hydraulic puller, or a trip to a shop. Worth it, but not easy.
