Carbon-fiber-look outer layer with high-temp silica insulation underneath, anchored to the turbo with integrated hooks.

What It Does

Turbo blankets work in two directions at once. Inside the turbine housing, they help retain exhaust heat, which keeps exhaust gas energy where it can drive the turbine wheel instead of bleeding off into the engine bay. Outside the blanket, less radiant heat reaches the intake manifold, intake hoses, painted hood surfaces, and any sensors or wiring routed near the turbo. The net effect: slightly cooler intake air temps, less heat soak between runs, and longer life for everything in the area surrounding the turbo.

The Theta 2.0T turbo is mounted close to the firewall and the hood, which makes underhood heat management a real issue on built Genesis Coupes, especially in summer or after sustained high-load driving. A turbo blanket is one of the most cost-effective ways to address it.
