ISR Performance Differential Mount Bushings - BMW E36 3 Series

The ISR Performance Differential Mount Bushings are a polyurethane-style upgrade for the rear differential mounts on the BMW E36 3 Series. Replacing the worn factory rubber diff mounts eliminates drivetrain wind-up under launches, tightens up rear-end feel, and prevents the diff from shifting under high-load cornering or drift duty.

What It Does

The factory E36 rear differential is rubber-mounted, which means under hard acceleration, sustained drift duty, or aggressive launches, the diff physically shifts on its mounts before it transfers all the engine's input to the wheels. That movement absorbs power, creates clunky drivetrain feel, and accelerates wear on the diff mounting points themselves. Stiffer ISR bushings dramatically reduce that movement, giving you more direct power delivery and a tighter, more responsive rear end.

Critical Fitment

Fits all E36 3 Series rear differentials EXCEPT 318ti models. The 318ti uses a different rear subframe and diff mounting setup that is not compatible with these bushings.

NVH Trade-Off

Stiffer diff mounts come with more NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) than the factory rubber. The trade-off is the standard one for solid or harder-than-stock bushings: noticeably more responsive feel in exchange for more transmitted vibration. Most owners running coilovers and aftermarket suspension consider it worth the trade. Worth being aware of on a daily driver.
