ISR Performance HGC VQ35DE Swap Headers - Nissan 240sx 89-98

The ISR Performance HGC VQ35DE Swap Headers are the dedicated exhaust manifold pair for VQ35DE engine swaps into the 1989-1998 Nissan 240SX (S13 and S14). Built from 304 stainless steel and designed specifically to pair with the ISR VQ Swap Mount Kit. The "HGC" (High Ground Clearance) designation refers to the routing, which is engineered to maximize underbody clearance.

What It Does

VQ-swapped S-chassis builds traditionally require either custom-fabricated headers or generic universal headers that compromise on ground clearance and fitment. These purpose-built HGC headers solve that problem out of the box. They bolt to the VQ35DE on each side and route the exhaust path to maximize clearance under the lowered S13/S14 chassis, then exit to a 2-bolt flange that mates to the ISR LS Swap Y-Pipe.

Critical Fitment Requirements

ISR Performance VQ Swap Mounts (IS-240-VQMKT) required. The HGC headers were engineered around the engine position set by the ISR VQ mount kit. Different mount brands will not produce a guaranteed bolt-on fit.

Floorboard clearancing required. To achieve the absolute highest possible ground clearance, some clearancing of the chassis floorboard around the 2-bolt flange on each header is required for proper fitment. Plan for this during the swap.

Connecting to the Catback

The HGC headers exit with a 2-bolt flange that's designed to bolt directly to the ISR S-Chassis LS Swap Y-Pipe (IS-240LS-Y). The Y-pipe then bolts to any standard 240SX catback exhaust, eliminating custom fabrication for the entire exhaust mid-section.
