ISR Performance OE Replacement Valve Stem Seal Kit - RWD Nissan SR20DET

The ISR Performance OE Replacement Valve Stem Seal Kit is a complete valve stem seal set for the RWD Nissan SR20DET. Includes both intake and exhaust side seals, replacing the factory rubber seals that harden, crack, and start letting oil past the valve guides as the engine ages. Critical part of any SR20DET head refresh or rebuild.

What It Does

Valve stem seals sit on top of the valve guide and prevent oil from working its way down the valve stem into the combustion chamber on the intake side, or into the exhaust port on the exhaust side. Worn seals are the most common cause of an SR20DET that smokes on startup or after coasting. the oil pools above the seals while the engine sits, then gets sucked into the cylinder when you start it. Replacing them as part of a head rebuild or top-end refresh is straightforward (with the valve springs off) and eliminates the smoking problem permanently.

Critical Fitment

For RWD SR20DET only. The RWD SR20DET (found in S13, S14, S15, and rear-wheel-drive Sileighty variants) uses different valve stem seals than the FWD SR20DET. Don't use this kit for an FWD SR rebuild.
