ISR Performance HGC LS Swap Header - BMW E36 - 1 3/4"

The ISR Performance HGC LS Swap Headers for the BMW E36 are 304 stainless, 1 3/4" primary long-tube headers designed around our E36 LS swap mounts. The "HGC" High Ground Clearance design routes the primaries to maximize clearance under the car, which is the difference between a swap that scrapes constantly and one that's actually usable.

What It Does

LS swap headers in an E36 have to clear the factory steering shaft, the ABS hardware, the subframe, and the ground. The HGC design prioritizes ground clearance specifically, since the LS oil pan and headers hang low in the E36 bay relative to factory routing. 1 3/4" primaries flow enough for the LS power band without being so large they create routing problems. 304 stainless handles the heat cycling without warping. Designed as one piece of a complete ISR E36 LS swap exhaust path with our IS-E36-LSMB mount kit and IS-E36LS-Y Y-pipe.

Fitment

BMW E36 6-cylinder, LHD USDM chassis only. Cannot confirm fitment on European, RHD, or 4-cylinder E36 chassis. Required components:

• ISR Performance LS swap mount kit (IS-E36-LSMB). fitment is only guaranteed with ISR mounts.
• An aftermarket slim steering shaft. required for proper clearance. ISR offers one for this application (IS-UJSS-BMW).
• ABS module delete or relocation. required for proper fitment of the LS swap path.
• LS3 knock sensor relocation. if you're running an LS3 with OEM knock sensors in the factory placement, you'll need to relocate the knock sensor to an alternate mounting boss for proper primary clearance.
